Residency CertificateInformation about the new Residency certificate – June 2007 Is there a new residency form? Yes, the old one will not be accepted. Make sure that you use the correct form or you might find yourself waiting in the long queue only to be turned away to complete the new form. Do you need to provide photos for the new residency? No, photos are no longer required Do you need to be finger printed? No, you will no longer need to be finger printed Does the residency expire like the old one did? It is a permanent residency certificate that does not expire Will you get it issued to you on the same day? Yes, your information will be entered on the computer system and it will be printed out on the same day Will any original documents need to be kept when submitting? No, the original passport, NIE and Empadronamiento is needed to verify but only copies will be kept by the authorities What does the certificate look like and what kind of information will be on it? It will be a sheet of paper, listing your full name, address, parents names etc…. It has no photo Can you use this as a form of identification?
